Launching of the International Marist Mission Assembly

16/07/2013: Brazil
Mission Assembly- Nairobi 2014

The Province of « Rio Grande do Sul » has set out on the road leading to the II International Marist Mission Assembly (IMMA), which will be held in September 2014 at Nairobi in Kenya. In the presence of the brothers and fellow-workers involved in the Province, the provincial and local steps of the IMMA were launched on 28 June, during a monthly meeting of reflection and formation for the persons who work in the provincial centre.

The process in view of living the Assembly at the provincial centre was presented at the same time as the reading of the letter of the Superior General, Br Emili Turú, as well as the explanations of the  symbolism of the logo and the theme of the event, to take place at the same time in all the Marist Provinces and Districts in the world.

New Marists on mission, such is the invitation made by the Institute, challenging brothers and laity to be Marists renewed, to establish a new mutual collaboration and to reflect together on the challenges of the Marist life and mission.

The Province has also sent to all the Marist centres a dossier with materials designed to help communities in their preparation for the Assembly, at the local level.
