We give meaning to the experience of life

Twenty-two brothers of the Marist Provinces of Cono Sur (Cruz del Sur, Santa María de los Andes and the District of Paraguay) met in Santa Cruz del Sur (Bolivia) from April 22 – 25.

For three years now, these administrative units have been developing this meeting for brothers with the aim of providing an “oasis time” to help recreate, assume and project the human being. It is spare time to stop along the way and connect deeply with yourself, with God, with brothers and with the life of the Institute.

This was the third encounter of Brothers connected to the Marist intuition of a “new beginning” for the Institute, being able to reread our life from our life time and deepen the three fundamentals to which we are invited to create the “new way of being a brother:” prophecy mystics and communion.

The dynamics of the meeting was very fraternal, with ample space for dialogue, listening, searching and interiority; being able to re-read our life experience and and through it discover the meaning of who we are and what we live.

Br Hipólito Pérez, Secretariat Brothers Today

“We had the experience but missed its meaning, and approaching the meaning restores the experience.” (T.S. Eliot)
