19/10/2016: Brazil

Brother Evilázio Teixeira will take up his new post as rector of  the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) on Dec. 9 for the coming years, from 2017 to 2020, and Dr Jaderson Costa da Costa, as vice dean.

The University’s chancellor and Arcbishop of Porto Alegre, Archbishop Jaime Spengler, appointed them after the presidency of the Marist network (Brasil Sul-Amazônia Province) proposed them.

The University’s vice-rector, Brother Evilázio Teixeira, will take the place until now occupied by Brother Clotet. Br Evilázio is also provincial councillor and councillor of the directors of the maintainers of the Marist network (SOME, USBEE and UBEA) from 2013.
