17/09/2013: East Timor

src=http://www.champagnat.org/shared/bau/timor_br_john.jpgLast Saturday, 14th September, the Marist Community in Baucau bid a very sad farewell to Brother John Horgan, who returned to Australia after giving six years to the Marist mission in Timor-Leste. At different public and private farewells, staff from the Catholic Teachers College in Baucau (ICFP), local residents, as well as the Brothers, aspirants and postulants, expressed their deep appreciation and love for the generous, gentle, dedicated, humble and selfless way John has lived, taught and given of himself as Brother, educator and friend. John will be forever remembered with deep affection and sadly missed.

We wish John well as he now makes his way to the Third Age course in Manziana and takes up his new appointment in the community at Churchlands, WA. Thank you John!
