class=imgshadowSouth African St Henry’s College, Durban alumni, Jason Grieve (Head Boy 2007) and Patrice Madurai (Head Girl 2010) along with past students and present student leaders of Marist Colleges in South Africa were featured on the Champagnat.org website in an article in December, highlighting the summer program offered to young people from Langbos an ‘informal settlement’ in Sundays River Valley area near north of Port Elizabeth in South Africa.

Patrice had previously represented her country in the Harvard World  Model United Nations in Belgium in March 2014 and also represented South Africa at the G20 Youth Summit in Germany in May 2014.

13th January 2015 it was announced that Patrice has been awarded the Queen’s Young Leader Award which aims to recognise exceptional people aged 18-29, who are taking the lead in their communities and using their skills to transform lives.
