Marist International University College
Marist International University College (MIUC) was officially recognized as a Constituent College of the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) in May 2002. The College, then Marist International Centre, was established in 1986 as a post-novitiate formation centre in Nairobi. It is founded on Christian principles. It is located in Karen area – along Lang’ata Road – 10 kms away from the hustle and bustle of Nairobi City. This serene environment provides a conducive atmosphere for learning. We offer Degree, Diploma and Certificate programs, with our main Degree course being Bachelor of Education (both Science and Arts). As a Constituent College of CUEA, we are focused on producing highly trained and well-formed teachers who will make a difference in the education sector in this country and beyond.
Besides offering Degree and Diploma programs in Education, we also offer a wide range of Diploma courses in Business and Social Sciences; among them advanced Diploma in Business Management, Diploma in business Management, Diploma in Development Studies & Social Work and Certificate and Dipoma in ICT.
We acknowledge that education is a progressive activity and, as an institution that champions education for all, we have mounted University Access Programs (UAPs), including Bridging in Mathematics and English, Access Certificate and Pre-University, that are tailored for students who did not meet the required University entry grades. This is aimed at giving them a second chance to enable them pursue their careers which require University level qualifications.
The College has well-stocked modern library with current books and e-journals and an ICT centre that serves as an important resource both for teaching and learning.
As a Christian institution of higher learning, our Mission is to produce graduates who are agents of liberation, transformation and development of humanity in tandem with our motto: “You are the Light of the World.”
At MIUC we train our students to go out and be a source of hope where there is despair, a source of peace where there is conflict and a source of knowledge where ignorance abounds. We not only train our students to pass exams but we also train them to understand and appreciate the world in which they live. Most importantly, we train them to know God.We pay special attention to the following values: Love of God and Neighbour; Respect for Human Life, Lawful Authorities and Colleagues; Concern for the Poor; Integrity; Generosity; Leadership; Patriotism; Love for Work; Sensitivity to the Environment and Self-Discipline.

Marist Postgraduate Project with Australian Catholic University

Australia This relationship between Australian Catholic University was strengthened in 1998, when the University’s School of Educational Leadership gave approval for the establishment of the ‘Marist Postgraduate Studies’ in Victoria. This Project enables students who are both studying part time at the Master’s Level in the University’s School of Educational Leadership and who are on the staff of Marist schools, to follow courses in Marist Studies administered by the Marist Brothers’ Congregation.
