38 years old. Born in Rio de Janeiro. Has Licentiates in Religious Studies, Pedagogy, and Educational Sciences from the University of Paris. He’s been a Coordinator of Pastoral Ministry in the Province of Rio de Janeiro; a school principal in Belo Horizonte and Rio de Janeiro, an educator of street children, and a Provincial Councilor. Was Vice Provincial in Rio for two terms. Has served as a Province delegate for Education and the Social Education Media (radio, TV, and video), as a coordinator on the Education Commission of the Brazilian Marist Provinces, and as a member of the International Education Commission in the Institute. Currently he is President of the Hermitage Foundation in Belo Horizonte, and Vice President of the Association of Catholic Schools and Universities in Brazil. At present, the Study Center of Contemporary Brazil has invited him to do research at the School of Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences in Paris.

The oldest of nine children. Born June 26, 1947 at Grazieu le Marché, Rhône. After attending a Marist Brothers school at Chazelle sur Lyon, he entered the Juniorate in LaValla, and then went on to the Novitiate. Made First Vows on August 15, 1966, and Final Profession in 1974. Was a scholastic at Saint Genis-Laval, after which he was a prefect at Charlieu, Loire and did military service. After completing his studies in History and Geography at Saint Etienne, he studied Religion at Catholic University in Lyon. He was in charge of Pastoral Care in Saint Etienne from 1972 to 1986. After that, he was a member of the Team at the Hermitage, in charge of welcoming young people. Later, he did vocation work, took part in formation programs for the laity, and worked in pastoral care at several study centers. From 1996 to 1998, he participated in the Session for the Formation of Formators in Valpré. Since 1998, he has been Vice Provincial, in charge of animating communities and formation of the laity. He was the coordinator of large assemblies at the Hermitage in 1989 and 1990, and later organized canonization celebrations for France. |

José Contreras Landeros |

Born on 19th March, 1938, became a Marist Brother in 1959 and belongs to the Province of Central Mexico. Initial studies in History for four years, was at Marist College for a few years in the late 50's and early 60's. He also read Theology, in Rome, for three years. Joins the Preparatory Commission with a rich background including 35 years in active teaching, administering and accompanying the young Brothers. He was Vice Provincial for six years, attended the 1985 Chapter, was a member of the Peace and Justice Commission of the Mexican Episcopal Conference and was also Vice President of the National Private Schools Association of Mexico for two years. At present, he is the Leader of the community of the General Administration in Rome. |

Robert Teoh |

Born in Malasia in the year 1963, belongs to the Province of China. Made first profession in 1986, taught for six years before attending the Formation course at Valpré, France. At present he is Vocation Promotor and travels extensively. As the Province is made up of a number of countries, he needs to make use of a variety of languages, some of which are: Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, English, and French when travelling in Europe. |

Peter Rodney |
| |
Hails from Australia, is the vice-Provincial of the Province of Sydney where he assists the Provincial in the pastoral care of Brothers and Communities. As well he has responsibility for Formation.
He began his years of ministry in secondary schools teaching religion and history. Following an invitation from his Provincial Council he trained in Formation, which included a year at the International College in Rome. After some years in Post-Novitiate Formation he has been a full-time member of the Provincial Council for the past four years.

Christian Ndubisi Mbam |

Born on 22nd July 1945 in Umuowa, Orlu, Imo State, Nigeria, he made first profession in 1968. Read Zoology at the University and taught Biology for a number of years in the Marist Schools in Nigeria. He trained as a formator in England and work on the formation team mostly as Master of Novices Nigeria and Ghana from 1981 to 1996. At present he is Vice Principal of Marist Conprehensive Academy in Uturu, Nigeria. |

Juan Miguel Anaya |

From the Province of Bética in the south of Spain. 41 years old. He is Vice-Provincial of the Province, and presently working full time as a member of a team consisting of three Brothers and a layman, coordinating the educational, pastoral, solidarity, and lay formation activities of the Province. A graduate of Marist Brothers schools in Seville and Córdoba. His parents have been teachers at our secondary school in Seville. |

Seán D. Sammon |
| |
Born in 1947 of an Irish father and British mother, both first generation immigrants to the United States of America. He attended Saint Agnes High School and then went to the Juniorate in Esopus. After his initial formation in Tyngsboro he went to Marist College and graduated in 1970. He taught at Saint Agnes High School in New York and followed courses at the New School for Social Research where he obtained an M.A. in 1973. He then moved to Fordham University where he obtained a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1982. From 1978 he was invited to become a member of the staff of the House of Affirmation in Massachusetts and was appointed International Clinical Director of the same institution from 1982 to 1987.
He was appointed Provincial of Poughkeepsie in 1987, during which period he was elected President of the Conference of Major Superiors of Men in the United States of America. He now serves as Vicar General of the Marist Brothers since 1993.
He has published ten books and a number of articles and tapes on psychology and religious life. |
