Marist International FestivalAt our Marist Festival we will be welcoming pilgrims from across Australia and from the 77 countries of the world where Marists can be found. The Festival is open to young people between the ages of 16-35 and will be held at three Sydney venues that belong to the Marists: St Joseph’s College, Hunters Hill; The Hermitage, Mittagong; St Gregory’s College, Campbelltown.
For those who register  to attend the Marist Festival,  accommodation will be available at a Marist site for the duration of their visit to Sydney: 10th July - 20th July.

  • The event is being organised in cooperation with the General Council of the Marist Brothers in Rome. There has been a growing demand for an international gathering of young Marists and the General Council is eager for this to happen in Sydney, to coincide with World Youth Day.
  • The Festival will include discussion groups, guest speakers, prayer and sacramental celebration. It will be a chance for pilgrims to enrich their lives through interaction with Marists from a myriad of backgrounds and cultures.
  • Pilgrims will need to register through official WYD channels. There will be an opportunity through this registration to indicate participation in the Marist Festival. There will also be a need to register for the Marist Festival separately; through the www.maristoz.edu.au website (this facility will be available in February 2007).
