Marcellin founded the Institute of the Marist Brothers,
which today numbers more than 4,000 men. Living as religious
brothers in community, they focus on Mary’s life
for inspiration and ways to follow Christ. The Commission
for Religious Life promotes initiatives that strengthen
this commitment, as seen in the plan that we have set
