Because the new missionary brothers are coming from just about every province in the Institute, you may want to designate your contribution to be used for the sponsorship of a brother coming from your province or country. We are confident the brother and the community to which he will be assigned will be appreciative.
Designating your donation for a particular brother is easy. Here’s how to do it:
- It’s best to begin your fundraising campaigns by letting everyone know that the funds that the schools, apostolic social works, communities or groups are raising will be for the sponsorship of a particular brother. Check the Brothers’ profiles section of this CD ROM for information on the brothers now in the Mission Ad Gentes program.
- When your campaign is completed and you give your donation to your school Administrator or Provincial Econome, be sure to let them know that this donation is meant for the sponsorship of a particular brother.
- At the time the Provincial Econome makes the deposit into the Asian Mission Sponsorship account, he will need to let us know by e-mail (solidar@fms.it) the name of the brother the group or province wants to sponsor.
- We’ll let the brother know and we’ll ask him and his community to contact the donors to offer their thanks and to keep them informed of their activities in the mission.
You don’t have to designate your donation for a particular brother. Some of the new missionay brothers come from provinces and areas of the world where raising donations will be difficult. If you decide not to restrict your donations, we’ll move your donation to where it’s needed and ask the brothers in that community to let you know how much they appreciate your generosity in sponsoring one of them.
