From the very beginning, BIS has concentrated on informing, educating, and animating for justice peace and solidarity throughout the Marist world. This is the Bureau’s most challenging mandate since its aim is to help bring about a change of heart.

It does this in two ways: by encouraging greater openness and sensitivity to the cries of the poor and most marginalized, especially children and youth, and by fostering a deepening consciousness of unjust social and cultural structures throughout the world that undermine justice, peace, and solidarity.
