Evaristus  Kasambwe

Brother Evaristus Kasambwe is a Malawian, born in Malawi on 20 January 1963. He did his Primary School education at Chisitu Primary school in Mulanje District, South of Malawi. Thereafter did his Secondary School education at Mtendere Juniorate in Malawi from 1981 to 1985.

After secondary school education he followed a six months Postulancy Programme at Mtendere in 1985. From there he went to do his Noviciate at Our Lady of Mulungushi Noviciate, Kabwe in Zambia. He made his first religious profession on 1st August 1987.

After the first religious profession in 1987 he went to do his scholasticate and professional training at Marist International Centre in Nairobi, Kenya. From there in 1990 his first appointment was at Mtendere Juniorate, Malawi, where he worked as a teacher and Head Teacher till 2001.  Within the same period between 1990 and 2001 he had a year off to study French at the Catholic University of Lyon between 1996 and 1997.

Brother Evaristus served as a Provincial Councillor of the Province of Southern Africa from 2002 to 2008. Within the same period from 2006 and 2007 he worked in Haiti at the Postulancy as a formator. 

When he came back to his Province he also worked as a Master of Postulants from 2007 till 2009. In 2010 he went to New Brunswick, Canada, to work as a youth pastor animator for over a year. When he came back in 2011 he again appointed again at Marist Secondary School as a teacher and head teacher till 2013 when he went to join FMSI in Geneva till 2017 as a Child Rights Advocate.
